The Cycle: God Trap
Have you ever met someone who stopped learning?
Not because they became stupid. Because they became confident.
They have the answers for everything. They dismiss contradictions. They ignore feedback. The more you challenge them, the tougher they become.
This is not stubbornness. This is structural failure.
When confidence gets too high – when CS is fixed at 1.0 – the correction cycle stops. The doubt signal is not triggered. No self-correction is initiated. The system optimizes to protect its worldview, not to update it.
We call it the God Trap.
This does not require arrogance. It can happen quietly, gradually, to anyone. The moment you stop doubting – you stop thinking. The most dangerous thing about the God Trap is not being wrong. It is that on the inside, everything seems perfectly right.
How do you know you are not in the God Trap right now?
